Hey there folks.
Time to get some serious testing under way.
This Pointe Du Hoc map is 2p as allies and play as annihilation.
I have included an .sga for general testing and the .sgb for the more experienced modders to look at and help fix anything.
The map is Infantry only. The Armour reinforcements have not been coded as yet.
All the details(I hope) is in the files.
So please test away and tell me how it is.

wanted to check, but in the main menu i cant select annihiliate, is that normal ?
Bugger, knew there would be little problems, but not to be able to get to the map....dam!
To be honest, I have no clue what would cause that.
I have the statement g_annihiliate = true so it would finish.
I do not know if I packed the .sga correctly.
Was it the sga or the sgb that it happened in?
happend with the sgb, tried sga now, map starts - those black areas and game stopped indicates that there is something wrong with the scar code on your map. when you run the map in sgb format you will get error messages in ...My Documents/My Games/Company of Heroes/Logfiles, look for scarlog files and see if there is an intelligent error message :).
For the map itself, looks nice, especially the craters :), some parts of the heightmap could be smoothed though, looks a bit unnatural, sharpe edges etc. in some places...
Thanks Henry, At least one started. Yes I knew about the start problem, may have to post it, as there is one I do not understand. Is some the the sharp edges on the cliff and\or craters. Because one thing I have done with the cliffs is to have a small edge at the top, which looks a bit sharp, so as to stop movement.
I never really likes the cliff rocks, that's why I have only used textures.

edit... I tried the sga one time, before I made this one, it never showed up, so I stopped trying.
Will have to see If I can get both to work.
you can smooth the edges, no problem, if you dont want units to go there, you can block the area using the impass editor (the button that looks like a traffic light).
but there is something bugged in your scar, you can only find the error if you find the logfiles, or your lost :)
Yes I got the log files, I see a few things. Will look at this tomorrow, see what I can do.

Ok, I found that I had forgotten to disable one of my functions that I was testing. So this is the newest logfile...
I have no idea what AI_think_2 is, but is does stop the other allies from doing anything.
you need to post the scarlog, not warnings.

And here is the scarlog. It is two together. 1st play worked well, second play
AI_think_2 came up.
what is AI_think ? cant find that in your scar.

i keep getting a fatal SCAR error.... anyone know why?
Yea it's in the second part of the scarlog. AI_think2
When that comes up, I have to go to menu and then resume. The AI(allies) just stop then this happens.
That AI_think2 is not scripted in my scar though.
And for Unregistered...Have you updated to Beta two? It still may have scar errors, though it should play better.
I played online games. Me & funnyclown624 play this map but problem all solder not moving, I think not load map, Map moving working fine but solder not moving, damn it this is old CoH v1.71, I got CoH OF v2.301. lucky no crash. I tried normal & mods & cheatmod all same map not load, I can see minimap black holes.
Yes this is for 1.71. It is a skirmish map, though it has been modified to have only two players and they must be allies. I have modded the axis side for reasons.
So it's not a typical skirmish map.
So it's play as allies only,and play annihilation.
Please remember this is still only a BETA!

Yes I will most certainly make a version for OF. Trying to iron some things out so OF one will be better.:)
i don't have 1.71 anymore, so i can't test it.. but one tip i can give you: don't release a map as .sga that's actuallly a mod to be used in CoHLauncher, because then anyone who has your .sga inside the /maps directory will load your mod automatically. (even when they don't play it)
this should be released as a mod, because you have modified .rgd files etc.. if you only had a map + scar file that would be fine, but there's much more stuff inside the .sga in this case.

I never saw this reply. Did not think of it as a mod, but I see what you mean.
As I have never played on line, I guess that means I am at a disadvantage when it comes to this sort of thing.
