Hi Kabizzle and welcome to the forums!
Sounds cool, maybe Henry666 likes to review your map if he got time.
Hi Kabizzle, shortly took a look at your map.
A few things you might want to adjust:
- you should make at least one bridge indestructable, now its too easy to cut of the enemy on his island
- the island is a bit crowded with buildings, this way the units have massive pathfinding problem, specially when there come tanks. You can remove 3/4 of the buildings and add walls and stuff and your island will still look like a crowded city.
- make the obb area bigger and add details to it, atm its still empty
- same to the starting areas, empty flat terrain is a bit boring
- use splats to make the map look more unique
- add music to the map
- add map preview and loading image
Map could be funny, I like bridges :), but there`s a lack of detail... keep it up :)
do you know how to increase the oob area? after i was done with my map i noticed that problem too.
also, how can i add a preview/loading image?
im a bit new to the whole worldbuilder thing, i just got coh 3 months ago, after i got my new computer.
any help would be great! and thanks for the feedback!
you cannor change the obb area after you started a map, what you can do is, make a stamp from your whole map and place i pack on a bigger one :)
For loading image you need a "mapname.tga" that you place in the loading directory. Best is a image 2134x1200 in size.
For preview image you need 2 files (you can use the "mapname_mm.tga automatically generated by the worldbuilder or use the save overhead function in the worldbuilder).
Edit the files with eg photoshop so you have the player positions shown and save it as "mapname_map_base.tga", create another one where the numbers for players are shown and save it as "mapname_map_slots.tga".
adding music:
