Some Help For a Noob

Hey everybody, I am kinda new to this place, so bear with me. My friend Justin624 reccomended me to this site, so Ima try it out. For a long time I have seen new maps being added to the Coh site, ones that say map maker contest winner on them. Since then I have wondered how it is you make these maps. Any light that is shed on that matter will be very welcome. Also, Justin told me to download his map Iwo Jima, and I have tried, using the intructions on various threads, and failed. If someone could walk me through that matter and the one previously mentioned that would be great as well. :)

I read the first tutorial and it showed the World Buidler already in the list of programs. As far as I know I do not have it there. Is it a program you buy like the game from a store, or do you download it, or does it come with the game? Thanks for the tutorials though as soon as I find the world builder, I'm sure they will come in handy. Also, I searched through my list of folders under Company of Heros, as well as CoH Opposing Fronts and I did not have a folder entitled Scenarios. Do I make one and if so where does it go? Thanks:)

you mean there's no Worldbuilder.exe for you in Program Files/THQ/Company of Heroes (or similar directory) ?

perhaps you have a very old version of COH then.. if you patch your game online, you should get it.

Well I ran a couple of searches and found a file named this. This file does not come up when I try to use it.

Is there a way I can re download the patch that gives you the world maker?

no i don't think so.. i guess you have to reinstall the game and patch again.. sry..

btw you can see the version number in the main menu of COH.. it should say v2.301 if you have the latest one.

You did buy the game right? I've seen some people that pirated it and didn't have the worldbuilder with it.

MAN I feel like such a RETARD. >: I went looking for the way to reinstall COH and ran into the worldbuilder by accident. IT WAS RIGHT THERE. Oh well at least I know how to use it now (cheers BuckyBoy) so we have that figured out.
