Hi there!

Here my second project, after learn some things when im making my first map i move to create a more serious map and much bigger. There is Grave's Bridge, a 8 players map based in a country road near Grave village, in south Holland, in the first day of the operation Market Garden where the 82nd Airborne division capture the bridge over the Maas river, the gateway to Grave and Nijmegen.

Is not a extremelly realistic recreation and of course, is not a turtleling map. I try my best, with my limited knowledge in this moment.

Here i let you the Beta file, was tested sometimes with my mates and seems to run properly, i dont know if the balance is good, i think is correct hoping im not wrong on that.

did a quick skirmish on this one - looks very nice. haven`t encountered any bugs so far - good work.

wow, its awesome coming from you, ty for ur time.

Well, now u see my map, i have some questions, of u can help me about that will be great.

- i will know how i can do to dont be possible to infiltrate troops like fallschirjaegers into a specifics buildings, exactly in this map, on the damaged buildings near the bases, i tried with impass editor and blockers but falls can exit of this buildings, its possible to do that?

- i read in some place the action markers dont work with 2.300 and up OF but im not sure if is correct, i wish to put some smoke effects but i dont know if its possible and dont know how to...

well, sorry for my english, its a little bad, and ty for expend ur time and knowledge.

hey, action markers only work with patch 1.71. It`s a bit of a pain in the ass, I have 2 coh installs, one with 1.71 where I start my maps with, put all the action markers in and then continue with latest wb.

for blocking houses to not be able to use the fallschirmjägers, guess thats not possible, cause its a function of the game, all you can do is remove the buildings or set them to destroyed I guess.

you mean u make the maps first with 1.71 versión, and when u make all ur wanted action markers, export the work to the latest versión? if i understood correctly i must say OMG!

umm edit: one more thing dude, how i set a "destroyed" building? i tried with edit state, and set building damage and sethealth, but i dont see nothing special... any idea?

exactly, I plan a map, add tons of action markers to the empty version, save it with 1.71 and then continue to work with 2.x ...

for making a building look destroyed or completly unuseable you have to click the building > edit state > building damage > double click on sphere (appears as a white bar sometimes) and then you have a blue ball inside the building that you can move. move it to the position where you want the damage or make it bigger to completly destroy the building, you can also use multiple spheres on one building.

oh thanks henry for ur explanations... just is my second map and i would to improve my skill in the next ones, with ur lessons maybe i can do it better next time, now im in a new map, 2on2 snow map but i do a lot of work in this days to beggin again installing the 1.71, maybe the next one due im to curios to test this action markers.
