Hi Guys!

Here`s something new (partwise) I made for the Relic Map Contest, a new 8 player map based on my desert map pack, I added/removed a lot of stuff to make the map fit to the rules of the contest.

You can check it out and leave a message for me if you find a bug and have a good idea considering the gameplay on the map (like ressources and stuff). I already playtested this one a lot with my mates and it already should work pretty good.

Thanks.

Actual Version: beta 4

Yeah, i think i remember the original version of this map.

But one thing, this would be the only desert map if it would win.

Updated first post with new version to download. Added lots of cover to the map (objects and splats). Maybe someone can check it. Thank you.

And you might add some cover to those cliffs in the corners, putting an invisible ditch spline under them could do it.

yeah, already did that (to a new version), the cliffs and the areas around give heavy cover now. Maybe I`ll add some more spots with some buildings to the empty areas (someone noticed that on the gamereplays forum).

Nahh, i wouldn´t do that..... I think (some) people have to realize that not all maps are Angoville farms, difference in landscape must be accepted as an option. Deserts are open areas with almost no cover, what do you think the trooper in the "afrika corps" brit or german replied when ordered to attack over open desert......"Aber herr hauptmann wo bist die sandsäcke" ? or "bloody hell captain, where are the trench" ?:D Take the time to look at some pictures of the landscape in Holland, Belgium and northern France, you will see large fields with very little cover... Thats why the APC was invented ;)

beta 3 is up, added some more buildings and trenches and other stuff.

@justin: dry riverbed won`t fit at this time anymore, maybe in another map :), for installation: just use mannerheims coh launcher and copy this file to your maps folder in the coh main directory (you have to make it yourself), very easy.
