Im recording videos with fraps (Trial Version) and the VIDEOS wont play... why is that?

fraps makes videos encoded in a raw format.. you have to encode it in divx or something else first before you can play it. Try virtualdub, it's free. No program in the world can capture video's and encode in realtime (with good quality that is), because encoding a high quality video just takes a long time.

I use fraps, but I don't really like it that much for recording videos b/c it causes a major slow down in fps when I start recording. Do all video recorders cause a slow down like that? I wouldn't know cause Fraps is the only one I have used before.

I use it, yes. You can configure almost everything (which type of file you want to record, the capture region, quality of your capture, if you want to capture sounds from your speakers/sounds from your microphone/both/none, and many other things)

No, not all
camstudio dosnt slow/lag down ur game at all
but the only thing is that its hard to make the recording quality ( VIDEO QUALITY ) just right\
