Sweeney Todd or Cloverfield?

Ive watched both, they are both the newest releases in the box office so I was just wandering if anyone has any opinions on either film, or both.;)

I thought Sweeney Todd was pretty amazing, I was really disappointed when I found out it was a muscial.:( But being a Tim Burton Film, and having stars such as Depp and Helen Botham Carter in it helped them pull of an amazing outcome!:cool:

Cloverfield was a brilliant film, but to be totally honest the whole "Blair Witch Look" with the handheld camcorders was a little annoying!:mad: I suppose it made it unique in its own way. However it was still fantastic.:o

I don`t like musicals at all, but me also being a big Tim Burton fan, I watched the movie and the scenerie was just brilliant, very nice touch. But would have been better without the singing :).

Gloverfield was disturbing, but your right the handcamera thing was annoying after a certain amount of time, still a nice movie.

Yeah to be totally honest if Tim Burton didnt direct it, and Johnny Depp wasnt starring I think I would have given it a miss!:o

They're both fantastic, but in very different ways. Cloverfield is a real thrill-ride with some serious scares along the way.Sweeney Todd is beautiful, sad, and *all* music. Johnny Depp puts in a hell of a performance, and the other actors are at their best.

I thought cloverfield was the horribleist movie ever to be made. It was good how he did the camera but it was pritty damn annoying.. also the action in it was completly crap. The only bit i liked was seeing the marines run up the street firing missiles at the big ass alien.

I saw these two films. But Sweeney Todd is great. Sweeney Todd comes just above cloverfield though.

i dont see why peoples only complaint is the camera i acctualy liked it because it gave a sense of feeling as if it wasnt a movie i bet this happend.and i thought the action scenes it showed were intense and awsome.
