View Full Version : Help!!! I'm stuck
I'm playing the British Mod and am at the airport. I have taken everything but the hangars. I go into the hangars and destroy the airplanes and enemy but the green rings around the hangars on the mini map never go away. For some reason I can't get past this level because I can't take the hangars. Any suggestions?

are you sure? you have to make sure there are NO enemies left in the area. It helps if you build a 25 ponder to bombard parts of the hangar area before moving in your troops.
I'm possitive. I've even had the engineers blow everything in and outside of the hangars. I've taken tanks and gone around the perimeter and double checked and still can't get the rings to leave the mini map saying that I've cleared the hangars.

did you blow up the power stations that are a second objective for the commandos? Did you capture the little control area at the north of the map that is an objective?
Yea, I took the barracks and control tower first then went to the first hangar and took it and even destroyed all the planes in it. It never cleared from the mini map. Then I went to the machine gun implacement at the other end of the hangars and from there went to the power plants. I finished off the other two hangars and nothing changed. That's when I started blowing up everything else to see if that would help. I jsut can't seem to get the hangars to clear off the map as an objective, even though there is nothing left,
sounds like a bug, maybe restart the map and complete it again, maybe it will work then. I had no probs with playing through the campaign.

you will have to restart it. I believe this happened to me the first time i played it and restarting it worked.
I had the same error the first time i played that map, had to restart to finish it, i´m sure there there must be a bug in the win conditions for those hangars.
Ok... thanks to everyone that replied. I'll restart ansd see if that takes care of it.

oh my.. i had a same problem too.. i'm unable to complete the mission due to the hangers as well.. restart the mission but it dun seems to work.. anyone can help?? :confused:
There seems to be a bug in that maps code, i believe you have to take the hangers before you attack and clear the area with the controltower, at least that sorted it out for me. It seems like some AI reinforcement points has to be neutralized in the right order, if not they somehow get stuck.

ya.. i tried that be4.. but still unable to complete the mission itself.. tried the other way round.. doesn't seems to really work.. will any of the patches release solve tis problem?? i dun think so rite??
Yeah this happened on Carpuit Airfield(sp?) for me too. It hurts but you have to restart the mission and begin again. Believe me I KNOW how annoying it is when you have already worked so hard!:mad:
I'm going to try and reinstall the game. I've tried it in every order...hangars first .. tower first..nothing seems to work. I'd like to finish the rest of the game but can't get past this mission. If any body has gotten past this mission could you pleast send me the saved game file so I can continue the game? I would appreciate it. My email is sv5807@verizon.net. Thanks
Thats a bug in this mission. When you go near the hangars or clear the first one (thats not sure til now), you will get a secondary mission, to kill the airplanes starting from the hangar next to the tower!
If you kill those planes before, or the enemies at the tower you wont get this mission and the map wont end. Make sure to start your attack on the left side and it should work. :)
You better dont play campaign with mods. I've had a same sort of problem with the normal COD

oh my oh my.. i had tried all the ways u guys suggested but.. doesn;t seems to work.. no way to fix tis bug?? btw.. i can't activate the kill the plane mission.. how does it work??

Yuxian i have same problem... i think you should creat a new profile and restart the whole campaign. maybe that should do it... other wise you are in modded version? or Cheat Mod?

have you tried restarting the mission? To get the destroy the planes part, you have to destroy the first hangar.

dun think so.. i wasn't in modded version or cheat.. juz can't complete the game.. kinda disappointed playing the campaign already.. :(
Maybe you could just use a cheat to get past the next level and continue on there, we'll forgive ya for cheating only this one time;):p

Im a little busy right now, but if I have a minute later I will upload the save file. Will have to start from the begining again though because the only other save I have is with all three campaigns completed:rolleyes:
i also got stucked serval times in that mission.
but at least on my side it comes from having tooooo many units on the field.
if i just spawn da hell out of bofors and 17pounders for the defeating of the germans counterattack(mission before)... i have to delete most of them.
at some point i can see the german units pop up with every deletion of one of my units.
im doing this till no new germans spawn ...then blow them away... mission finished
