St Vith

December 16. 1944 05.30 in the morning the first shots were fired in the schnee eiffel mountains near the Belgian border, that was the beginning of the german counter attack through the Ardennes. Operation Greiff known later to the allies as the Battle of the bulge reached the small city Sainth Vith two days later. St Vith were a major road and railroad junction and the US forces in and around the city were ordered to hold the city to delay the german attack, they did so for 3 days giving the allied forces time to relocate and fortify.

Due to a small error the AI denied to move over the railroad, that have now been fixed and the link points to the fixed SGA file.

Just a copple of things Nobody...
You can't move under the bridge, i don't know if this is possible, but it would be cool. And you have to move to far to the north or south to go of the road by the bridge.

But for the rest it's a good map.

You can't move under the bridge

Thats right, thats a choice for the mapmaker to take, either over or under, both ways are not possible.
The map is as historical correct as possible so the terrain is as the area was in December 1944.

Just some silly questions; is it fully AI compatible? (ie. all teams work as they should - even british with their lorries and positioning of those?)
And is it compatible with other mods, such as CheatMod?

Thanks anyway, it seems really, really nice :)

The map works well in both vCoH and CoH OF, i havenīt played it with any mods but you are welcome to test that and give some feedback:)

Update: CheatMod works perfectly (the AI also gave me a really tough game when playing as US with a Hard ally against to WM Experts - which aren't that tough most times).
Will try out british and PE tomorrow, see how they make it :)

Truly great map! :) (even if the capture points are a little scarce, some more wouldn't hurt, imo.) :)

this is the map i discribed
Described where ?

and st vith was a village not a town
Acording to all the information i have been able to get my hands on, the size and community importance of St. Vith, makes it a town. Please explain why it is a village in your oppinion ?

my make battle of the bulge forum

and the reason i think it was a village was that most of the citizens fleed before the war but not all so the size of the population is why i think its a village the town was takin over by some minor ss platoons and 2 well reinforced wermacht regiments im not sure that im right with the size of them but this is what im guessing was there since if the ss were in the presence of the wermacht they usually fought more ferociously so im gessing that there was some kind of ss presence thats just my opinion

well..... 25-26 December 1944, St. Vith was bombed to rubble, officially the town was evacuated but 153 civilians and more than 1000 german soldiers were killed, that might give you an idea of the size of the town.

Yeah, you should keep it fun, though the reality can make it fun too, so get both of the factors.
