Hi.. i decided to make this little mod for CoH:

extract from the readme:
"BuckyBoy's CoH Mod v1.0

Changes:
- increase Manpower costs of all vehicles (x2)
- add an additional munitions cost for all vehicles (fuel / 2)
- decrease armor of AT guns & hitpoints of weapons crew & damage (both axis and allies)
- increase munitions cost of sticky bombs (x2)
- base buildings can now be build anywhere in supply area. (not just command area)
- free wire cutters for all in tier 1. (wire cutting now takes 30 seconds though)
- added small munitions costs for sandbags & tanktraps (5 & 10 resp.)
- sherman smoke now only lasts 15 seconds (instead of 30)
- increase armor of 88 (x2)
- decrease damage from allied grenades
- increase hitpoints of allied rangers (now equal to stormtroopers)

Installation:
- Extract the zip to "C:\Program Files\Company of Heroes".
- Edit the shortcut in the archive to match your directory structure (right click -> properties). You can also make your own shortcut using Target: "C:\Program Files\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -modname BuckyBoys_Mod -dev -nomovies
- Double click shortcut & Play :-)

The idea behind this little mod is to have more interesting endgames and extend the time of infantry battles. The modifications to wiring were done to avoid getting cut off from an area for too long in early game.. also known as the notorious early game wire rushing."

I tested it a bit against the AI and i could already see an improvement in gameplay. Ofcourse playing against the AI is nothing like playing against humans, so please leave a message here if you're interested in playing this mod online. Should be fun also. :-)

nice one bucky, gonna test it when I come home (later this week). Also I am not happy seeing traps and wires cost munitions hehe, I usually play against expert ai and without the possibility to channel the enemys - uhhhh gonna be a hard time.

by the way, you tested this with the new patch ?

no i don't think it'll work as intended in 1.5.. i changed some unit stats in 1.4 and if you change something it overwrites the old file.
dunno if i'll make a new version for 1.5.. people don't care about playing mods online i guess. (same as in AoW lol)

yep, mods only for skirmish and lan games, the stat whores would never touch a mod cause getting no score for it - whats the point ??? ... and I guess because its difficult for the non computer expert players to get this to work, with copying to the correct folders and start with -dev and such. remember act of war, got loads of mails where people should put the map file and that was 1 file and 1 subfolder hehe, and company of heroes? guess these people won`t try at all...

yeah you're probably right.. Relic should've made it a bit easier.
