i have a screwed up world builder and i have tried every posibble thing to make it work
i might give it a shot
but im very busy with school and all
i will try to do it within a month or so
and i'll use Clint Eastwood's Flags of our Fathers/Letters From Iwo Jima
as inspiration
and i'll give you some credit for the Idea

I restarted the map a while ago because it kept turning out horridly
this time i took a few creative liberties in interest of gameplay over realism:)
in this one the island is small, but all of it is playable unlike the last few tries, and im going into testing stage, I'll fix up territories in a bit, should be a beta soon.
I'll be gone a bit, so here's a beta of the map
not completely done in terms of textures and objects like rocks, etc.
preliminary to do list: (please add anything you think needs doing still)
-Territorries are comp-generated right now, will eliminate territories from going into water EXCEPT the one to the allied base, will also fix up territories
-Eliminate Mass of resource pts near bases in favor of scar coding resource gen. to the HQs
-add rocks to various cliffs, other visual objects
-finish texturing - i want your input on what tex to put where, splats, decals, etc...
Idea - fewer fuel pts, or only one on the island. Also, only attackers get auto fuel from HQ, Because defenders only had a few tanks.
Problem is again, realism or gameplay? i want to make this mod-friendly too, so mods that make germans tank-reliant won't work so well...
Please give feedback! This is only a Beta, after all...

yeah i noticed that too :O
Put the SGA into your "Documents/My Games/CoH/ww2/scenarios/mp" folder, -dev isn't necessary with SGAs
you might also want to try out Mannerheim's CoH Launcher, to load up maps, mods, etc.
updates:
I have another idea
-When i get the HQ resource Gen. to work, i'll give the allies more resource generation, including fuel, whereas the defenders will have very little fuel generation at the start, forcing them to hold their invaluable fuel pts, and it should balance it a bit more
@ Concerned people:
I'm going to try and give a universal speed modifier to whoever owns the territory in the water, and i'll take your advice and lower the water level a bit, i think it's at 1 or 2 right now...
great suggestions, i'll finish up for another beta in a bit, then hopefully a final release!
yes we know where to put it but the File is not working :rolleyes:
**Update**
been working on it a bit, I redid the Mine area, fixed up terrain and texture counts.
added a bit more ambient and atmospheric objects (rocks, splats, etc.
lowered water level to 0.5 above ground (does this speed up the units?)
Fixed Territories, got rid of resource clump to focus on the HQ resource gen code, but not done with that part yet.
TO DO:
-code the HQ resource generation, Below is the code i tried to use, but it didn't work for some reason...
-finish up texturing, it looks bad from the top view now, not very hot ingame, but i'm not very good at this, any suggestions, or if anybody is willing to help with this part, just replay and/or PM me
-try to speed up unit speed in water, hopefully this doesn't require a whole mod, I want to try to keep it in the SCAR.
I'll post more screenies later. Here's an overhead map from WB, you can compare them, doesn't look too different, but there's alot of invisible progress, like the territories
